HC asks chancellor to reply to notice
A division bench comprising Chief Justice Rekha M. Doshit and Justice A Amanullah passed the ordered on a PIL filed by Dr Ram Kamakhya Singh of Ara-based Veer Kunwar Singh University challenging the appointment of six VCs and four Pro-VCs in 2011.
The petitioner had alleged that the appointment of six VCs of the universities was made by the Chancellor without consulting the state government.
The court posted the PIL for further hearing on July 26 next.
