Man attacks wife, mother-in-law with machete

The man, Zokhuma, hacked his 28-year-old wife Lalfeli and her 61-year-old mother Rangthangi in an inebriated state at around 10:00 pm last night, police sources said.

Lalfeli sustained injuries on her face, back and arms and was admitted in the Civil Hospital at Aizawl while Rangthangi was discharged after first aid.

Zokhuma was absconding, the sources said.
