'Sainik Samachar' has pics of launch of book critical of govt

The book 'Assault on Merit' authored by advocate R K Anand was released recently by former Army Chief Gen V K Singh a few days before his retirement.

Asked how the pictures of the private book release function found their way into the latest edition of the magazine, officials associated with its publication said the photos of the private event were published since the book was released by the former Army Chief.

More than 100-years-old, the 'Sainik Samachar' is one of the oldest journals published by the Defence Ministry.
