opium in two separate incidents here.
In the first incident, police stopped a bike during vehicle checking near Dina Sahib area and recovered 600 grams of the contraband.
A case has been registered against the accused Gaganjit Singh and his mother Amarjit Kaur who was pillion rider. Both have been taken into custody.
Police also seized 500 grams of opium from a person near Beer Rauke village. Further details in the case are awaited.
A total of 1.1 kg of opium was seized, police said.
