1.4 kg of gold seized at Kolkata airport

Customs officials today seized around 1.4 kg of gold bar worth Rs 37.5 lakh from a SpiceJet aircraft arriving from Bangkok at the international airport here.
The gold bars were hidden inside the cushion of seat no, 20-F, customs officials of the NSCB International Airport said.
The gold was found during cleaning of the aircraft after the passengers disembarked.
Investigation is on into the incident, the officials said.
