The mishap occurred this afternoon around 60 kms from here while the driver of the bus, which was on its way to Menhadwani from Shapura, was negotiating a blind turn, Shapura Police Station in-charge, Anil Patel, said.
The woman identified as Nirmala died on the spot and the injured were referred to hospitals in Mandla and Jabalpur for treatment, he said.
According to him, a case has been registered in this regard and investigations are underway.
