The incident happened last night when the bus passengers were returning from the marriage, Vijay Gautam, SP (Rural) said, adding, the driver was allegedly in an inebriated condition but continued to drive despite protests by the passengers.
Five of the seriously injured have been referred to a hospital in Noida for treatment, Gautam said.
The driver is absconding and the bus has been impounded, he said, adding, a case of negligent driving has been registered against the driver.
