10,000 'Methamphetamine' tablets seized in Mizoram

Ten thousand tablets of pshychostimulant drug 'Methamphetamine' were seized from three persons at Vaivakawn locality here, Mizoram Excise and Narcotics Department Commissioner L Hmunsanga said today.
The tablets smuggled from Myanmar through the 404-km-long international border were seized by officials of the Mizoram Excise and Narcotics department on Sunday night, he said.
The three persons were arrested and booked under relevant sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985, Hmunsanga said.
