10 women from other states forced into prostitution rescued

: Ten women hailing from various states and forced into the flesh trade in in the city have been rescued during raids in massage and beauty parlours in the last one week, police said today.
They said two close women aides of a well known pimp 'Kannada' Prasad have been arrested for running prostitution racket in beauty parlours.
Acting on a tip off, the duo were held during a raid at a beauty and massage parlour in city yesterday, a police release said.
Initial investigations revealed both of them were close aides of 'Kannada' Prasad, it said.
"In the last week alone six cases were registered for running prostitution in such massage and beauty parlours and nine persons arrested. Ten young girls hailing from various parts of the country were rescued" the release added.
