The initiative was as part of the Corporate Social Responsibility of the college to motivate the gathering to pledge the eyes for bridging the gap between the demand and supply of corneal tissue, an SERC spokesperson said.
The association organised the eye donation awareness programme and vision screening in collaboration with Sankara Eye Centre here.
Some 150 members had free vision screening, while about 100 members pledged their eyes, the spokesperson said.
