"Ramnik Harvara (55) died on the spot when a 108 ambulance hit him at Dadiaya village of Jamnagar taluka here," sub-inspector J B Sarvaiya of Panchkoshi 'B Division' police station said.
The incident occured when the driver of the 108 ambulance lost control over the steering and hit the bike.
Following the incident, an irate mob started pelting stones at the ambulance and ransacked it, he said.
The driver of the ambulance managed to flee from the spot, he said, adding that a police team is trying to nab him.
108 ambulance has been providing emergency medical aid in the state, where a needy person can get immediate treatment in a case of emergency.
