11,000 houses to be built for police in 3 years, George

: Over 11,000 houses will be built in the coming three years for police under police quarters scheme 2020, Home Minister K J George said today.
Replying to Jayamma (Congress) during question hour in the Legislative Council, he said there are 45588 police constables in the state.
He said Rs 92.19 crores had been spent for accommodation of police constables this year of the budgeted Rs.276.58 crore. Every police constable will have a house allotted, he said.
