On this, the alleged land mafias started firing in the air in to threaten Jaipal Sah and his men that included some locals, he added.
Angry locals blocked NH 28 in protest against the incident and sat on dharna demanding removal of Raxaul SHO Rajeshwar Prasad who was hand in glove with land mafios.
The DSP said that Rajeshwar Prasad has been removed as SHO for alleged dereliction of duty on the basis of report submitted by him and Raxaul SDO

No one was injured in the firing, he added.
