11 IAS officers promoted in J&K

In a Cabinet meeting headed by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah here, it was approved that Sundeep Kumar Nayak and Arun Kumar Mehta would be promoted to higher administrative grades as principal secretaries, an official spokesperson said.

The Cabinet also approved promotion of Manoj Kumar Diwedi, Dev Singh Jamwal and Farooq Ahmed Factoo to super time scale, after which they would be designated as commissioner secretaries to the government, he said.

Four other IAS officers -- Sheikh Mushtaq Ahmed, Vineeta Gupta, Shahid Anayatullah and Tushar Kanti Sharma -- have been promoted to the selection grade, he said.

The Cabinet also approved promotion of Shahid Iqbal and Sushma Chouhan to senior time scale, giving them designations of additional secretaries to the government, the spokesperson said.

Meanwhile, the Cabinet also approved re-employment of Inayatullah Khan, Director Forensic Science Laboratory (J&K) and Harnam Chand Bhagat, Deputy Director Forensic Science Laboratory (J&K) for a period of one year, he said.
