Raids were conducted yesterday in Nagla Lachhi and Tapua villages of the Kotwali and eleven such factories operating within residences were uncovered, police said.
The investigation revealed that the illegal liquor production was being carried out in the villages for a long time and supplied to the people residing in the area, they said.
While police arrested one accused Shiv Singh during a raid conducted at his residence in village Tapua, the other accused -- Anand, Shiv Kumar, Narendra, Udaypaland and Awadhpal -- managed to escape from the spot, they said.
The hunt for the other accused in this connection is underway, police added.
