11 patients from Dima Hasao on way to Sankardeva Netralaya for

Altogether eleven patients from Dima Hasao district in Assam left today for taking treatment in Sankardeva Netralaya in Guwahati, said a district administration release.
The eye treatment programme was conducted by the N C Hills Autonomous Council in collaboration with Health and Medical department Dima Hasao for free, including expenses of the to and fro journey, food and lodging for the patients.
N K Singh, senior Ophthalmic Assistant of Haflong Civil Hospital was deputed for necessary assistance and guidance for the patients and their attendants, the release said.
Seeing off the patients at Haflong Civil Hospital, Joint Director Health Department Dr Dipali Barman expressed happiness in executing such schemes and thanked the N C Hills Autonomous Council for extending its support to the programme.
Dr Barman also said such schemes would be continued if the government provided adequate funds in future, the release added.
