11 policemen injured as van turns turtle in Ooty

At least 11 policemen were injured, when the vehicle they were travelling in turned turtle near Aruvangadu here today, police said.
The incident occurred when the policemen were being taken to Coonoor in view of the rail roko agitation by various political parties and farmers on the cauvery issue, they said.
The van turned turtle, when the driver attempted to negotiate a curve between Aruvangadu and Eallanalli.
The injured, including two home guards were admitted to the Government Hospital here, with minor injuries and bruises, they said.
Traffic was disrupted for nearly an hour following the mishap, they added.
