Karnataka Small Scale Industries Minister Satish Jarkiholi said the release of the prisoners, serving terms for various crimes, was as per the state government decision.
The released prisoners include 61 men and two women undergoing 14 years of imprisonment, 48 men and three women who have undergone 14 years imprisonment, including pardoned period, he said.
The minister advised the released prisoners not to repeat the mistakes committed earlier and not to re-involve in any crime. Instead, they should join the stream of development.
