Police officials said the seizure was made from National Highway (NH) 31 under Zero Mile police station in the district.
Zero Mile Station House Officer (SHO) Ajay Kumar said the police chanced on the SUV while it was parked along NH 31 and found the ganja while checking the vehicle.
"The contraband was kept in four sacks. We tried to find the person who had parked the vehicle there, but he could not be located. We are now trying to trace its owner. An FIR has been lodged in the connection," Kumar added.
