Tension prevailed in Marori village here after 12 Sikhs, brandishing swords, forcibly entered into a school here and asked Dera followers to leave the venue, police said.
The Dera followers had assembled for 'Naam Charcha', a religious congregation, here.
Following the incident, the Dera followers held a dharna at Mavi Kalan.
Police rushed the reinforcement to bring the situation under control.
The followers were pacified by the police while assuring a strict action against those who disrupted their prayer.
The Patiala police has registered a case against 12 persons under relevant sections, including 295 A (outraging religious feelings of community), of IPC.
