Eight children under Jhawarnagar police station area and four others, involving a minor girl, under Kethunipole police station area were rescued today from separate places, Circle In charge (CI) of Anti Human Trafficking Cell Kaniz Fatima said.
All the 12 children working at separate shops, stalls and hotels in Kota city were rescued in a joint operation carried out by Anti Human Trafficking Cell and Child Line, she said.
Fatima said that the children were forced into child labour by their parents due to poor financial status of the family.
Four children out of the 12 were forced into begging, she said, adding that all the children were produced before the Child Welfare Committee (CWC) that ordered to send them to different Shelter Homes in the city.
No case against the employers and parents of the rescued children has been lodged so far, she said.
