The incident took place at Anoopshahr Tehsil, about 40 kms from here.
Police said that 12 people from both sides were injured in the fight between advocates and Municipal Board employees.
According to SDM Anoopshahr Bhirpal Singh, the clashes began when advocates were trying to take possession of the disputed land on which a litigation was pending between Municipal Board Anoopshahr and allotees of land-shopkeepers in the Allahabad High Court.
Action has been taken under relevant provisions of law and the disputed land has been seized by the police, he said.
