Portugal will be sending 200 athletes in all nine disciplines for the games scheduled from November 2-10, according to official sources.
They are expected to be the show stealers at the athletic event, while its football team is going to start as favourites.
Earlier, there was a doubt whether Portugal would send a Wushu team but now it is confirmed that a 14-member squad has been shortlisted to debut at the Games, sources said.
Angola, which was hesitant to take part because of lack of infrastructure, has now agreed to send a 129-member contingent including its best football team. Except volleyball, Angola will participate in all other disciplines.
The football event will be the biggest attraction at the Lusofonia Games with nine countries confirming their participation, sources said.
Guinea-Bissau and Sri Lanka will make their debut in volleyball.
A total of 315 sportspersons will take part in athletics. It is the only discipline that has attracted participation from all 12 participating countries.
The nine disciplines at the event include athletics, basketball, beach volleyball, football, judo, taekwondo, table tennis and wushu.
