The deceased was identified as Pradip Kumar, son of Shivkumar, they said.
On complaint of grandfather of the boy, police lodged an FIR and has started an investigation.
The grandfather of the deceased has mentioned in the complaint that his grandson was killed and the body was thrown into the pond.
He also said that some marks of injuries were observed over the body of deceased.
