Between 11 pm to 2 am last night, the city police launched a search operation on a dozen crossroads where they challaned 1200 vehicles and seized fifteen of them, Superintendent of police (Rural) Surendra Tiwari said.
A case has also been registered against 25 offenders, he added.
Meanwhile, the police raided a house around 3 am in Roshan Nagar area of Rawatpur here and arrested 10 people for gambling, Tiwari said, adding that around Rs 20,000 were recovered in the raid.
Besides this, police personnel will also be present in informal clothes to maintain law and order in the city, Tiwari further said.
CCTV cameras have also been installed to monitor the movement of motorcyclists and to avoid any stunts, he said.
