Altogether 130 bottles of India made foreign liquor (IMFL) were seized by police during routine checking in Assam's Hailakandi district, a senior police officer said on Tuesday.
Police officers on naka duty under Katlicherra Police Station intercepted a truck heading towards Bhairobi in neighbouring Mizoram without any document on Monday evening, Superintendent of Police, Pabindra Kumar Nath said.
During inspection of the truck police found the 130 IMFL bottles packed in several cartons and seized them, Nath said.
Police apprehended two persons in the truck and booked them, the SP said, adding, necessary legal action is being taken in this connection.
