State Education Minister Kiran Maheshwari said that Swami Govind Dev Giri of Pushkar, Ajmer will be honoured with the Sanskrit Saadhna Shikhar award.
He will be given Rs one lakh as the award money in a state-level ceremony on August 4.
The award will be given to Satyanrayan Shastri of Ajmer and Kailash Chandra Moondra of Chittorgarh.
Under the award, they will be given Rs 51,000 each, she said.
Six scholars will be honoured with the Sanskrit Vidwatsamman award (Rs 31,000 each) and five scholars will be awarded with the Sanskrit-Yuvpratibha award (Rs 21,000 each).
"The government is making all efforts for the development of Sanskrit education in the state. This is necessary for conserving our culture," the minister said.
