Fifteen people, including nine women, were hospitalised when they fell ill after allegedly consuming spurious toddy in Nalgonda district of Telangana, police said today.
The victims, who consumed the toddy last night, belonged to three families.
One K Yadaiah had been arrested for allegedly selling the hooch, police said.
A case under Excise Act and under IPC sections 272 (adulteration of food or drink intended for sale) and 273 (sale of noxious food or drink) had been registered against him, they added.
