India limited-over captain Mahender Singh Dhoni and speedster Varun Aaron, who played for their home state in the Vijay Hazare Trophy earlier this month, were not part of the team.
Dhoni will be busy doing the national duty while Aaron, scheduled to get married in February, was out of the team due to a minor injury on his shoulder, Rajesh Verma, Secretary of Jharkhand State Cricket Association said.
Verma said Jharkhand will open its campaign against Tripura on January 3 followed by Rajasthan (January 4), Punjab (January 6), J & K (January 7), Saurashtra (January 9) and Kerala (January 10) in Group B.
