15 people arrested for smuggling livestock in Haryana
Fifteen people were arrested today for allegedly smuggling 147 heads of livestock here, police said.
Some local youths stopped six trucks this morning on the KGP expressway here and informed the police, Station House Officer, Sadar, Devendra Singh said.
The animals were rescued from four of the six trucks, he said, adding that it is suspected that they were being taken to an abattoir.
The matter is being investigated, the officer said.
