15 suffers burns after sky lantern falls on houses

Altogether 15 persons suffered burn injuries after four kutcha houses caught fire when a sky lantern fell on one of the houses here in East Midnapore district, police said today.
People had been bursting fire crackers and lighting sky lanterns on the occasion of Jagaddhatri puja last night.
One of the sky lanterns fell on a shop and gutted four adjacent houses, police said.
All the injured, which included two children and four women, were admitted to Tamluk hospital.
The condition of six of them, including the children, were stated to be serious, police said.
