The 15 persons were produced in the Barpeta Chief Judicial Magistrate's court after their arrest on suspicion in the Nanke Khagrabari attack.
The court remanded them to three days police custody.
When they were being taken to the court angry people tried to attack them and the bus in which they brought but police controlled the public.
The eight Forest Guards have been identified as Mijum Basumatary, Thaneswar Basumatary, Baneswar Basumatary, John Goyari, Anil Goyari, Manjil Brahma, Rojen Bodo and Himangshu Dey.
At least 36 people were killed, several injured and many rendered homeless in the violence unleashed by the NDFB-Songbijit militants on minority community people in Baksa and Kokrajhar districts on May one and two.
