16 booked for 'fraudulently' getting HUDA flats

Police here have booked 16 persons for allegedly using fraudulent means to get allotment of Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA) flats.
The case was registered on a complaint filed by S K Kaushik, Estate Officer of (HUDA).
The officer alleged in his complaint that on scrutiny it was found that they had got a second plot allocated to them by furnishing false affidavits, while one plot each was already assigned to them in the reserved category, police said today.
The matter is now under investigation, police added.
