16 child labourers rescued in Rajasthan, two arrested

Sixteen child labourers, allegedly being taken to Gujarat in a jeep, were rescued today after the vehicle was intercepted by police in Khardia village of Udaipur district.
The children, all between 10-15 years of age, were being taken to Gujarat for work from Udaipur, police said.
The driver of the vehicle, Kishan, and his helper, Dharma, have been arrested under the Juvenile Justice Act, they said, adding the children have been given in the custody of the Child Welfare Committee.
