These persons were allegedly involved in a number of cases, including murder for gain, dacoity, burglary and chain snatching, under the limits of the Cyberabad Commissionerate.
A special team constituted by Cyberabad Police Commissioner C V Anand, arrested Rachamalla Rakesh, Kelu Sriram and Vikas Mehta, wanted for murder of a watchman Ummadi Shankaraiah and his friend on the intervening night of March 23 and 24 at Shamshabad here.
The team also arrested five persons wanted in burglary cases, besides a habitual chain snatcher of Irani gang.
"With these arrests, a case of double murder and 20 cases of chain snatching were detected, resulting in the recovery of 2 kgs of gold, 4 kgs of silver, one revolver, knives, rods, a car, 2 two-wheelers--all worth Rs 75 lakh," With these arrests, Anand said.
