16 persons tested swine flu positive

No death due to swine flu was recorded in West Bengal in the last 24 hours even as 16 persons were tested positive.
Of the 16, nine cases were reported from the city and the other seven from the suburbs, Principal Secretary, Health and Family Welfare, West Bengal, Moloy Dey told PTI.
Currently, 83 patients were being treated at different hospitals across the state, he said.
Since January, 24 people have died of swine flu while 351 were discharged after their total recovery from the disease, Dey said.
The total number of people infected was 458 during the period.
