Additional District and Sessions Judge (Fast Track Court), Dhubri, Judge Manowar Ali convicted the 16 under IPC 302/149/326 for killing four persons on February 16, 2003 at village Bheramara in Dhubri district.
According to the prosecution, the matter related to forcible occupation of land and three persons - Sahidur Rehman, Riyajuddin Mondal and Sahid Ali Mondal - were killed on the spot, while Manhan Khan succumbed to his wounds in hospital.
The convicted persons are Sabur Mondal, Rashid Ali Mondal, Baten Bhuya, Nurul Mollah, Manik Mondal, Usuf Ali Mondal, Santu Mondal, Kader Mondal, Rezzak Bhuya, Hussain Ali Mondal, Sobur Mollah, Manki Bhuya, Ibrahim Mondal, Rashid Mondal, Hamid Mondal and Abdul Sattar Bhuya.
