17 die of flu in Nepal

At least 17 people infected with the influenza virus have died in Nepal's capital over the past two weeks, health officials said today.
According to the Division of Epidemiology and Disease Control, out of 3,101 patients who underwent check up till October, 1,291 people were found suffering from the influenza virus.
Of them, 17 died due to the virus, officials said.
A total of 806 people suffered from H1N1 influenza virus type A from mid-July to mid-September.
People should be alerted against the deadly virus as it could spread at any time, said Division Director Dr Bhim Acharya.
