17-year-old college girl ends life

A 17-year-old girl student allegedly committed suicide by jumping from the fourth floor of her college building in Siddipet town today, police said.
The victim, identified only as Bhavani, was a student of Class XII at Sai Chaitanya College and a native of Pullur village, they said.
She came to the college this morning and went to the fourth floor of the building from where she jumped, suffering serious injures in the process. She succumbed to injuries on the way to hospital, police said.
Cause of the suicide was not yet known, said Rajendra Prasad, Sub Inspector at Siddipet 1 Town Police Station.

However, Bhavani's father told the police she had started losing interest in studies, he said.
