18,745 divorce cases in family courts in Kerala:CM

As many as 18,745 divorce cases are pending in family courts in the state, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said today.
Thiruvananthapuram district tops the list with 3328 cases followed by Thrissur (2514), Kollam (2273), Alappuza (1644), Ernakulam (1696), Kozhikode (1382), Kannur (1267), Palakkad (1209), Pathanamthitta 1060), Kottayam (1402), Malappuram (603), Idukki (587), Kasargod 423 and Wayanad (305), he told the state assembly.
