"Eighteen foreign students studying in Pune were brought to the police station after a complaint from an NGO stating that they were working in a film at Yash Raj studios without permit," Harishchandra Vhatkar, senior inspector at Amboli police station told PTI.
"We are verifying if the students, including some girls, were working at the set or had come here for any other purpose," Vhatkar said.
In case of any visa violations, appropriate action would be initiated against them, he said.
The spokesperson of Yash Raj Studios was unavailable for comment.
