18 per cent votes polled in first three hours

Nearly 18 per cent votes were cast in 1,680 wards of 46 civic bodies in Rajasthan in the first three hours where polling is underway today.
Polling began at 0700 hrs and is underway in 1,680 wards of 46 civic bodies, including six municipal corporations.
"17.67 per cent votes were cast till 10 AM," a spokesperson of the state election commission said.
Over 63.09 lakh electors are eligible to cast their votes at 6,135 polling booths in 1,680 wards. 7,375 candidates are are in fray for the 46 civic bodies.
Polling are being held in six municipal corporations of Jaipur, Kota, Jodhpur, Bikaner, Udaipur and Bharatpur, 18 municipal councils and 22 municipalities.
EVMs have been used for the polling which will end at 6 PM.
