District Excise Officer Kuldeep Yadav said, "We had got a tip-off that bootleggers were smuggling Arunachal Pradesh-manufactured liquor into the Noida city, and carried out searches, leading to the haul."
"During the searches, we intercepted a Honda City car at Okhla barrage. The car was stopped at some distance and two men alighted from the car and fled away," he said, adding that 19 cartons smuggled liquor were seized from the car.
A probe has begun and searches are on to nab the bootleggers, he added.
