Nineteen people were arrested today in connection with a construction site accident last month in which nine people were killed in China's Guangzhou city.
An operation platform collapsed on March 25 at the construction site for Guangzhou No 7 Thermal Power Plant in Conghua district.
Ten people were on the 40-meter platform when it caved in. Another worker was buried underneath the falling platform.
A loss of balance was cited as the cause of the collapse of the platform.
All construction work has been suspended across the district pending inspections.
The power plant was expected to begin operation in May, state-run Xinhua news agency reported.
