Government Railway Police incharge Pawan Kumar said the deceased was identified as Kajal of nearby village Mehtan.
He said that the girl ended her life by jumping before New Delhi-bound Amritsar-Delhi Shan-e-Punjab train near village Mehtan on Sunday.
The cause of suicide could not be known, Kumar said.
Her body was handed over to her family after the post-mortem, he added.
