2 booked in BJP MLA Som's village for violating model code

Two persons were today booked in Faridpur village, while campaigning for Sangeet Som, using a video on the BJP leader's arrest during 2013 Muzaffarnagar riots and his speech during 2015 Dadri mob lunching case.
The vehicle and copy of CD used has been seized by the police, with a case registered under violation of model code.
The video contains portions on Kawal killings, Mahapanchayat in Khera village and Som's arrest in Salawa village during the Muzaffarnagar riots.
The arrested duo has been identified as driver Virendra Kumar and Chandrshekhar Singh. Faridpur is also Som's native village.
District Magistrate B Chandrakala said that she has ordered a detailed report in the case from SDM- Meerut and will take lawful action.

However Som, who is contesting from Sardhana seat in UP Assembly elections, has denied anything controversial in the CD and claimed that parts from the video have already been aired on TV news channels.
