Inspector Y A Soloman, 35, and Assistant Sub-Inspector Rajendra Singh, 45, were arrested yesterday from CRPF's training camp on the outskirts of Ambikapur city, Sarguja Superintendent of Police R S Nayak said.
While Solomon is posted with 227th battalion and stationed at Bastar district headquarters Jagdalpur of CRPF, Singh is with 9th battalion, deployed at Gadchiroli in Maharashtra.
They were called up for interrogation and subsequently arrested, he said.
Sanjay's father Deveshwar Singh was a Jan Sangh MLA from Ambikapur when it was part of Madhya Pradesh.
A court in Ambikapur has sent the accused to judicial remand.
