2 drown as boat capsizes in Gomti river

Two persons, including a six-year-old boy, drowned when a boat capsized today in Gomti river near Duariya village here.
The incident took place when the boat ferrying around 6-8 people capsized in the river falling under Musafirkhana police station area, SHO Dipendra said.
The deceased have been identified as Danu and Mahesh Kumar Singh (40).
Rest of the people onboard were either rescued by the locals or they swam back to safety, he said.
