2 gutka manufacturers, accused of helping Dawood gang set up

A special MCOCA court here today granted bail to gutka manufacturers Rasiklal Dhariwal and Jagdish Mohanlal Joshi in a case, in which the two have been accused of helping the Dawood Ibrahim gang to set up a gutka plant in Karachi, Pakistan.
Special Judge S M Bhosale granted bail to the two.
Dhariwal and Joshi were named by an arrested aide of Anees Ibrahim, the brother of fugitive gangster Dawood, during his confession to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
The CBI had, in 2016, filed a supplementary charge sheet against Dhariwal and Joshi.
Earlier, on August 26, 2016, the court had granted interim bail to the duo.

The first charge sheet in the case was filed in 2005 against Anees's aide Jamiruddin Ansari, who stated in his confession that he had seen Joshi with Anees in Dubai in 2000.

According to the prosecution, Ansari had also told the investigators that Joshi was seeking Anees's help to recover some dues from Dhariwal, who too went to Dubai after being summoned by the gangster.
Subsequently, they went to Karachi, where Dawood acted as a mediator and settled the issue, he told the investigators.
According to Ansari, Joshi and Dhariwal later helped Anees set up a gutka plant in Karachi.
