2 held for running fake call centre

Two fraudsters were arrested for allegedly running a fake call centre to dupe people having insurance policies of a private insurance company, police said today.

A case of cheating was registered on a complaint by a customer of Max Life Insurance in Mayur Vihar. The complainant alleged that he was cheated Rs 90,000 on pretext of easy premium payment, DCP (East) Omvir Singh said.

The complainant has alleged that he was contacted over phone by a female who claimed to be an employee of the insurance company, he said
